Orochimaru was a powerhouse and he specifically noted that it was impressive that a paralyzing genjutsu, from Itachi's 3 tomoe could work on him. Although he wasn't controlling his every actions like Kakashi did to Zabuza, I don't see why it would be any different for Orochimaru or most kage level ninja.

2021.10.27 16:58 Boatwhistle Starting/improving exercise for more efficient weight loss and over all health.

When I started my weight loss I was over 50% body fat and couldn’t walk up a 30 foot long 30 degree incline without getting light headed and vomiting on a hot day. Now I consistently do more then 25 miles of moderate to high intensity cardio a week, getting in over 13k steps a day, and do 9 hours of resistance training a week. Most of this is easy and I enjoy training so much I have fun with it about 90% of the way through before I gotta start going try hard in order to improve.
A proper weight-loss focused diet is key of course and should precede your exercise routine. This doesn’t mean exercise can’t reduce your weight on its own, just not nearly to the same extent, as easily, and reliably. It is also possible to have a high physical ability and be in really poor health in some other regard at the same time. However once you have set an effective healthy diet you can enhance your health and weight loss dramatically by applying an exercise routine and progressively over loading that exercise. “Progressive overload” being that you challenge your mind and body most of the way to what they can realistically handle on a given day, week, or month. This promotes physical and neurological adaptations that will allow you to do just a little better at a time time every time... to which your health and weight loss stand to benefit immensely.
So lets say you are extremely obese and can’t do much for very long, how do you start? Well in my opinion the first few weeks are more about your mind then your body. You don’t have the innate discipline and willpower to make the most out of a particular exercise on a regular basis yet. So you start by training your brain in this regard by not pushing your discipline and will power too hard right out of the gate. On your first day just do the desired movements for a short predetermined time or volume. It should feel easy, like doing it every day would love be nothing, this teaches you the discipline to self start. When you aren’t being stressed out by the thought of a hard 1 hour routine and are instead thinking of an easy 5 minute one... you get good at “starting” every day. Do that 1-3 days to begin to form the habit. Now you have yourself starting every day, try to aim to not stop until it feels like you made a significant effort. This doesn’t mean until you are dead and regret it, this means until you feel like the effort is begin to become uncomfortable. This is teaching you the discipline to get out of your comfort zone. Your comfort zone might be very small and a quarter mile is all you are happy to walk, it might be surprisingly larger and you aren’t bother until you get a full mile in. Find that limit every day for the following week. Already you should begin to finf already that getting started every day is easier and that you are doing more. For the following weeks push it to beyond your comfort zone and see how much of this stress you are willing to deal with. Every day you should find that this lasts longer and longer. As this happens you should eventually find yourself running into a point of “overload“. This is the point where your mind is no longer the limitation, you are mentally trained enough. Now the thing holding you back is your body and the focus becomes improving what your body can handle. The more often you can juuust hit this point, the more often your body can be challenged, adapt, and hadle more the next day, week, or month. As your body adapts and does more, your health will dramatically improve and your weight loss will be faster, easier, and more consistent.

A mix of various exercises is ideal, you want to challenge your body in many ways to get the full benefits of health and weight loss through exercise. However if you had to pick only one type of exercise today, steady state cardio hands down. This ranges from walking to a marathon style run. This is cause it is the highest exertion sustainable fort one can put their body through every day and improve, meaning the highest weekly energy burning potential via exercise by a large margin. I do over 13k steps a day as a 180 lb guy. That is more then 1,300 calories burnt between walking, jogging, running, sprinting, and various cardio machines. I don’t think I burn even half that on all other forms of exercise I do put together. Even if I could put on 20 pounds more muscle over the next 5 years I would still only burn an average of 100-600 calories a day depending on who you ask.
So let’s say you are walking and progressive overloading at a mile a day. This will get easier as you lose weight and as your body adapts. As it gets easy though you need to aim to do things to make it harder if you wanna keep improving your adaptations, health, energy burning potential. There are several ways to do this, that being resistance, speed, and distance. Out of the three, distance is best for weight loss cause extra distance is much easier and more efficient to burn energy with then more speed and resistance. For instance, with twice the distance you will burn twice the energy. To do the same with resistance, you would need to do something like carry a weight equal to your own for one mile... not easy, much easier is it to walk further. Speed is an even less effective way to increase energy burnt. You put a lot more stress on the body and take each step less efficiently so you will burn more energy by doing the mile faster, but you are still moving the same mass the same distance. Thus even if you do the mile at double your walking speed you will only realistically burn maybe 20-30ish% more energy IDK, point is that Is won’t be anything close to double. So as your distance gets easier try to walk more total distance per day. It doesn’t need to be all at once to get most of the benefits either. In fact the quality of training only goes up the more you spread out the total volume. So instead of one 2 mile walk, do four .5 mile walks.
eventually as you do this you will find that a 3+ mile walk is not that big a deal to you. Depending on your body size that is an extra 300-600 calories burnt on its own WHICH IS FANTASTIC. You don’t need to do so thing best to get the best benefits from it, something you feel comfortable with every day is better then something harder that you dread doing more then a few times a week. However if you are extra driven bynthis time as many are, you can begin to progressively overload even more. Walking further is still the optimal choice for weight loss, but with 3 miles taking most people 1 hour or longer to complete, you can’t be blamed if you don’t wanna start walking 4 miles for 1 hr 20 min every day. Based on what I said earlier you may think I am going to tell you to increase the resistance, NOPE. This is for two reasons, there is one way to increase total distance in the same amount of time and your heart health is more important then your muscle strength. By trying to speed walk you can go perhaps 3.5 miles a day AND challenge your heart to work harder at the same time. So now you can burn more energy to loss weight faster, improve your conditioning, and improve your heart health all at the same time. Now instead of a distance goal you wanna hit a pace goal for a 1 hour time span. Meaning you want to go a far in one hour as possible. Don’t have time or will for an hour? Do 40 minutes, do what ever you can get yourself to do in this manner, walk the rest if you get too tired... just try to keep your pace up. Eventually you can progress to a jog, and then a run. By this time you will likely be a lot thinner, it takes a long time to get to this point and be comfortable if you are currently obese or extremely obese. So don’t feel like you gotta be running 5+ miles a day by the end of the year, it might take you over a year to 3 years to get to this point.
Now let’s say in the distant future you are comfortable running more then 5 miles a day every day. That better then most people will ever do, but maybe you will want more. I like cardio, I never feel more at peace then miles 5 to 15 of a run. It is when all pain and worries melt away and it is before I start to feel tired, sore, and hungry. I consider that 10 mile margin the most valuable exercise in my arsenal because it enhances my heart health, challenges my body, and it is almost meditative for me by soothing my emotions and allowing me to think more with more simplicity and objectivity. Some of my most defining personal philosophies in life have come to me while just thinking during this zone of cardio. lastly I burn 500-1500 calories do that amount of running, so it makes weight management stupidly easy. The only problem is again, maybe you don’t wanna invest more then an hour into your exercise but you want more out of that hour.
this is when added resistance becomes the best and only choice. There are a lot of creative ways to do this to. The obvious one is more weight. Don’t go out and get a 6 lb vest like I did early on. Two 2.5-5 lb ankle weights is challenging enough for most people not used to these stresses. It burn a little more energy, but more so will these challenges the muscles in unique ways that just running faster and longer can’t. I this case your hip flexors will be challenged a lot more then they are used to and you forwards step speed and power will improve because of it. If you change form and purposely raise your knees higher on each step then even more so. You can also just carry some 5 lb dumbbells. If you are my size and do both then you would burn about 12 ish percent more calories while developing more strength endurance and power. There is also dragging something begin you like a sled or bag. A very common way to implement resistance is with interval training, going slow then fast then slow then fast ect. This doesn’t burn much more then steady state over the same distance and time but it does imorove your speed potential really well. I do t advise HIIT cause this done correctly will take a lot more out of you meaning you won’t burn as much energy on it and it take days to recovery from completely. This is where you put in so much effort into a full sprint that after 20-30 second you can barely walk and then taking a 5 minute break and repeating 10 or more times so your sprint focused muscles are just totally worn out. Yeah you burn more energy per second of the activity during the set and a little more in recovery, but not nearly as much as an hour of steady state. You could try a parachute which is like dragging a weight but the resistance lowers as you tire and a run slower. You can get a bicycle. This changes many factors and will likely result in less energy burnt in the same distance but you can ride faster and make up for it with much more distance. Thanks to the bear ratios of a bicycle you slow can slow down your legs and put more strain on your quads rather then your glutes(opposite of a run). This allows you to develope more power endurance focused adaptations and give your flutes an easy day if you didn’t head my warning about HIIT(there is nothing wrong with doing HIIT so long as the point is not to train your sprint, not burn calories). Pretty much everything you can do to make a run harder can make a bicycle ride hard. I don’t advise dragging anything behind you though as this could get caught on a treee or a car and result in severe injury or death... which would be bad for your health... decomposition that follows death is great for losing all your body weight really fast thoughXD. Seriously though, stay safe :/.

I use Photoshop and Sony Vegas Pro here and there, and suddenly they started making my monitor glitch, after having them open for a few minutes
Panels/menus gets "burned" onto the screen, and are still slightly present if I go out of the software (And can take a long time to disappear again)
When that happens, the refresh rate of the monitor starts making it laggy and choppy. It's a 240hz, G-Sync monitor, if that info is anything relevant
